A. Yes, select Commercial Properties and follow the steps.
A. Yes, you will have an account stored in your personal My PropertyBook section. Once your rental information is entered into PropertyBook, you never have to remove it; you simply change the status to Not Active when you do not want it displayed. When the property becomes available for rent, simply edit any details and change the status to Active. This is particularly useful for Property Managers and Landlords to advertise vacancies without having to re-create the listings.

  Loading Your Listings:

A. Yes, PropertyBook has a unique mapping feature to accommodate this annoying little problem. It happens frequently when you are loading rural properties or new construction in new unmapped neighbourhoods. When you are loading a property you MUST enter the correct postal code. If the resulting flag on the map is not in the correct location, simply zoom in or out and move the map using the small arrow keys to the desired location. Place your cursor on the map, exactly where you would like the flag to appear – click and the flag will jump to that spot. If you don’t get it right the first time, just move your cursor and click again.
A. Yes, absolutely! You will still need to put in the correct postal code for the area and when asked for the City, type in the name of the Lake. It will be added to our database. Be sure to edit the flag on the map to ensure that it is in the exact spot of the property. When people are searching on the Find a Property page, the Lake name will show up along with other cities, towns and areas under the appropriate province.

A. When you enter the Property Tax field, simply enter the dollars, no dollar signs, commas, periods or pennies.  You do not need to add a taxation year; people will assume it is the most recent information available.
A. When you enter the lot width and depth, you are only required to put the numbers and decimal if partial feet – for example 67.5 feet should be entered as 67.5 and will be displayed as 67.5’ in the field.
A. Yes, you will get an error message if it is very large.  Resize it to around 700 pixels wide and you should be fine. If you have any problems, just send the photo to photos@propertybook.ca and we’ll take care of it for you.
A. The best files to use are JPEG’s with a .jpg extension.

  Real Estate Professionals:

A. You can be included on the Find an Agent Map with or without listings. During the registration process, there is a section for you to complete called Define Target Market. If you did not fill in this information upon registration or you registered under the first release of PropertyBook, you will need to go to My PropertyBook to the drop down for Edit Profile. Complete the required information and you will be included on the Find an Agent map.
A. If you have filled in the Define Target Market section under Edit Profile, your photo will automatically show up when visitors to the site drag the map close to your Target Market Flag.

If you have deemed the center of your Target Market to be the corner of Main Street and Fifth Avenue and placed your flag at that intersection – your photo will pop up when Main and Fifth are approximately in the center of the map. Whichever agent has set their flag closest to the center of the map will be displayed, as the map is moved to another location, another agent will become visible.
A. This is a paid advertising spot available to a Real Estate Professional. There are up to three spots available on the left hand side of each City page. There is also advertising space available on the right hand side of the page (a larger skyscraper ad). This space is available to Real Estate Professionals and other businesses. The population of the city, town, lake or area determines the price of the spot. For all advertising opportunities, please email info@propertybook.ca.
A. We have not added that feature in this release. Some agents have asked for it and we are considering it for our next release.
